go, go, go!

oh maaan,
i'm aching for
some adventures...
here!

and i still want
to go here
to her!

fortunately
the months of may, june
& july should
be more full
of fun!

i'm going
here in a week!
[to dance my
little hippie heart
out! :)]
& i have a loverly
friend who is
graduating
from here in a week,
too!

then the next week
i get to experience
my entire neighborhood
going crazy
in front
of my apt.
this should fun. :):):)

& then that next weekend
will be a complete
change of pace from
the hippies & granola eaters.
i'll be in the CLT w/my
girls & watching the
coca-cola 600. CRAZY.
hilarious fun, i'm sure.
i'll just be watching
all the sun-burnt
rednecks & bathing
in tar, i'm sure.

& then the 1st wk.
of june i'll be going
w/the beau, the paintin'
sista-in-law
& the
guitar playa to
the beautiful
town & beaches of
camping, as usual.
this should be
soooo fun, fun, fun!

& then two weeks
later, is a friend
of a friend's
wedding. so
i'll be there.

the week after that
is the AABS fest,
which i've never
been to but am
greatly interested
in attending.

the week after that
i'll have to take time off from
work and have a week of
so-far unplanned fun
w/the girls...
maybe on the coast, maybe
somewhere crazy,
maybe, maybe, maybe.

and then i'll have another week
of work and
then take off another wk-wk & 1/2
for a roadtrip to n'awlins.
which is just a big of
newness.
and unplanned-ness.
eep.

and then maybe, just maybe,
in august sometime,
i'll go again to charleston
with my other family
for a week on the beach,
in a beach house!
maybe...?

either way...
i won't have to wait
much longer for some fun
to break up the
monotony of my
work. :)

lurve

today's been
a topsy-turvy
day of rain & sun.

i'm going to go
see this movie later

tonight
at this awesome

$3-theatre.

it's not an

intelligent one,
but it'll work.

i've been loading
pics on various

social networks today.
but here are some
for some immediate
pleasure.

chaos

hilary clinton's here!
yes, that's right:
hilary clinton is in town
today
for the crazy politics.
and i'm soo going to
see her.
AND a lil
birdy told me that
barack is visiting, too!
crazy!
---
so i've started
reading this blog.
it's from a teacher
i had at WWC.
he was crazy.
he was an english teacher,
but he was really much more
than that.
the class i had with him was
...i don't remember the name of
it...
but i think it was something
like readings in humanities,
which it was more like writing
[more than reading]
everyday...reacting to other
peoples writings...etc.
but no etc. b/c it's really
hard to explain. but there
was always constant deliberation
and discussion
and sometimes we went in
loops
in circles
in little spasms
or just chaos, like a yawn.
anyways, i'm reading this
teacher's blog & he just keeps
doing his thing.
:)
---
man, i'm so overwhelmed
with life right now.
i'm on sensory overload
or something.
---
i was listening to
wpvm, which was
broadcasting a show from
kpfa
& this guy named
chris carlsson was being
interviewed.
he seems like he might
be a real inspiration
to my in-the-process
proposal...

constipation, now

ok, ok, ok.
a decision
HAS to be made.
right,
right,
right.

but soooo
much confusion!

so typically
me.

yesterday
i spent waaay
too much time
thinking about

doing a different kind
of masters program
at entirely different school.
yet, it was still in
vermont.

funny that.
but after much contemplation
and fantasies of
learning,
i'm back to more
indecision.
i'm wavering.
i'm still for the proposal
i [am] created/ing,
but now i'm thinking
it might go better
in a different category.
---
also, i just
talked with one
of my friends

that i made last year.
he's french & had
been in the US for an

internship-sort of job.
but now he's in india.
he said there,

there is twice the dust,
twice the noise,
twice the heat

& twice the cows.
he said he sometimes

misses the US.
says that it's much more

calm here and
comfortable.
:)
here is some of his pics

from the gloriously
ancient & mysterious
land of india.
---
i can smell
the spices
from here. :)

hustle, hustle, hustle

"why does everyone
got hustle'n on their mind?"

i'm totally in love
with this writer.
i really want to
get her book of
short stories.
i've also watched
some of her film work, too.
i first found her last year
in the mag, BUST,
which i too <3.
---
i've been so behind on things lately.
not that i'm behind
it's just that i haven't had the heart
to post my thoughts up on the www.
although i can say that my neck &
shoulders have not been such a pain
in the ass to me before
[despite me going to a chiropractor regularly].
---
gah, sometimes
i think i like so many things
in life,
that i want to do so many things,
that i can't to commit to
one at a time,
that i'll never get anything
done b/c
i've got over-zealous
love-for-life adhd.
---
gah, gah, gah, cathy
says.

1 w/nature

yeah, that sounds
all very hippie-like.

whatever.

but i'm really
excited about
these awesome homes
called earthships,
which i think sounds
very culty/new-agey/
sci-fi.
despite their connatations,
they're really friggin
awesome.
they take inspiration of
their
design from nature!

fugging awesome

I apologize
for the lack of
communication
recently.

I've been in deep thought
as to my future.

This means that I've
been figuring out
my college plans.

What I've come to
conclusion so far
is that I am going to go
to Goddard College to
get my Master's of Arts
in Individualized Studies
.

And this, my friends,
means that I'm designing
my own major.
I've been writing down
ideas & notes furiously.
I think the plan will be
entitled something of this sort:
"The Sustainability of Grassroots Creativity."

I found the term
"grassroots creativity" from
the awesome online mag
N.E.E.T.
They use this term in their
magazine's mission statement.

I had been seriously considering
going back to get another
undergrad degree, in fine arts, but
I think this might be the wiser
& harder decision/route.

So I've been creating the
proposal for the major.
This is my rough mission/intention
of the proposed major:

To create materials
that do not harm the planet/
as little as possible...
Tiny/No-footprint
(minimum impact) creation.
To live as sustainable and responsibly
as possible.
To prove, show & teach
that everyone can live this way.
To make this “cool/the norm.”
To prove that we can create
“blackspots/mom'n'pops”/
independent businesses worldwide
while supporting our
economy & planet healthily.
Happiness and love
should be the guide,
not greed and envy.

I then have a 4pg. outline
of suggested
classes [i should take],
books [i should read],
activities [i should do],
tools [i will need],
goals [to be accomplished],
contacts [to be used],
& areas of study [to categorize].
all of these suggestions
are intended to help
me further my learning
& education & progress
of this major
& process.

It sounds really
daunting to me.
But also very
exciting.
---
I've also been
taking photos of my
outfits daily.
This is to help me
see my own style.
And then I've been
looking @ ebay, etsy &
fashion blogs
to see other styles
& consider incorporating
them into my own.
It's a shaky process
& action.

I've never before doubted
my sense of fashion & style
so much in my life.
---
Essentially,
I want to fuse

art, fashion, sustainability,
education, awareness,
environmentalism,
community organization,
business, political science
&
philosophy into one
major & one discipline.
And in my life.

new & newness

i found
so many
amazing
breath-taking
awe-inspiring
blogs
and websites
today
that i really don't
know where to
begin.

so, instead,
i'll keep your
anticipation
high...
& tell you
tomorrow.

[honestly,
i just don't know where to
begin.
i'm slightly
over-whelmed by
the amount.
over-whelmed
with
happiness.]

sunny & funnily rainy

today's weather
has been
a
mish-mash
of sun &
rain,
so i'm just
waiting to see
the rainbow
that's hiding around
here somewhere.
---
and i'm totally diggin this business card drawing.
it's poignant
in it's simplicity.
---
been trying to figure
out what me and the beau
are going to do tonight...
we haven't had a weekend night
to ourselves in a while.
i'm considering seeing a movie.
we don't usually watch the main
stream stuff
but stop-loss seems
really interesting.
but the boy just
said something about
cheese plates &
a game nite.
not too shabby, either.
---
another lovely love:

---
been obsessing over
vintage
bags,
typewriters,
record players,
polaroid cameras,
shoes
& clothes, today.
hey-hey-hey.

happy birthday lucienne!

my practically-
mother-in-law
just had her bday.

and we're going to throw a
lil surprise partay
for her today.

i'll think she'll be happy about
this and this.
oh, and
we'll be drinking
champagne
and eating @
bouchon.
---
omg.
the animation
in this video is
friggin awesome,
not mention
julian perretta's voice.

---
i'm really
super
busy.
argh.
but i'd
rather do my
own little blog.
---
i've recently fallen in
love with

suspender-skirts.

i don't know
how long this love
will last.

but i'm digging it right now.
---
wow, isn't
this kind of
creepy,
yet awe-some
?
---
and then there's
the flight of the conchords.
ab-so-lutely hi-larious.
