The Apt Sleuth

I'm on the apartment hunt.

My partner in crime is the beau.

What we're looking for:
A 1-2 bedroom apt. in the downtown/Montford area w/lots of light and a shower.

We have less than 30 days to find one and move out of our current apartment. It's the Final Countdown and we could use all the help we can find.

If you know of anything, please contact me by email.

Oh, Wilmington

Going on another freaking summer trip, and I cannot believe it! So many beach trips this summer, I can't believe I'm actually affording everything in my life right now. (And that's why I need you to hire me to be your writer! Find out more about it here or here orr here!)

This time, it's the beachy area of Wilmington that is calling me. One of my best buds from way back when is celebrating her 24th and she wants to do it in beacharific style. So the end of next week, you'll find me tanning in, hopefully, sunny Wilmington!

Won't you give me a job?

I can write. And when I'm really into it, I can really write well, even. I can write about anything and everything. I have written about nearly everything. Aw, come on now - don't you want me to write for you?

Ridunk Charleston

I've been back home for three days since returning from Charleston, SC and it was a super-ridunk trip. I went w/my partner-in-blog-crime, the loverly Lu, along w/my beau, Lu's beau, and friends Nik & Sebastien.

Some highlights:

Smush five people into one car and add their camping gear, etc. and you get a very interesting car four-hour car ride. (Sebastien joined us later.)
I sacrificed my flesh for the rest of the group (I, em, didn't put on bug repellent the 1st night - big mistake), therefore my feet flesh were in pain....& are just now healing.
Lots of scattered thunderstorms made for delightful after-rain air.Two beach visits. Perfect temperatures for wave-jumping. Perfect wind conditions for finding sand in your private spots a week later.
Visited the oldest tree in the US. The Angel Oak is over 1,500 years old. Gorgeous.
Toured the oldest building in South Carolina - a creepy-arse prison. At one point it held 1,000 soldiers during the civil war. With the use of flashlights and a camera, we had fantabulous times entertaining ourselves after the sun went out. Also, if you want Lu's version of the events: here's Lu's recap of the trip.
