breaking my bubble

i find it hard
to understand you

your fists clench
into tight

bundles of energy

but violence is not
in my repertoire.

my energy goes
in the form of wetness,
shouting &
kicks

but this is not violence -
this is passion.
---
i've just been browsing
around the web today,
in between spurts of actually
doing work-work.
i have such an urge
these days
to go to a real live
music-festival.
this latest one
seems like oodles of fun.
just swaying back and forth
in the wind
and then jumping up
and down in an erratic
movement
that does not represent
the normalcy.
---
strange, strange, strange...
it always interests me
when i find something like this guy
who is only 2'9''.
he is a perfectly proportioned
dwarf
who lifts and weights
and is training to be
a dancer.
he's so tiny!
and this picture of him
being held up by some
big muscularly guy
looks so surreal.
---
i'm in love
with this girl
's painting, writing & illustrations.
she's doing exactly what
i think i'd love to be
doing.
she uses beautiful watercolors
to create these magical
but still somewhat realistic
visions.
not to mention,
i jumped w/
giddiness when i read that she is a
pisces.

mon anniversaire

not l'anniversaire du
ensemble,
mais il est
mon anniversaire.
and i shall quote a
great one:
"nobody likes you when you're 23...
what's my age again?
what's my again?"

mon age...est
23.
hopefully this year
will be filled with lots of smiling
and warmth.
that's all i want.
---
this is awesomely
beyond awesome.
i soooo
want to live here.
can you imagine
the fun you could
have in this abode?
---
and this is
by far
my favorite
cadeau as of
right now.
---
i swear to
god:
i'm like
riding a rollercoaster
in the rain.
thrills,
jolts,
heartbeat racing
all the while being
wet.
---
yesterday
was a complete
shit day.
but this day is making up
for it.
little, by little,
it 'is.
i just want to
keep
a little bit of this
happiness
within me
at all times.

[vrai] mas determination

it is here.
i must take
a hold of
it.
now.

just trying to
find the right
gift
for
one of those
special persons
in my life.

i've been a little
bit more
inspired in the past
few days.
so i'm taking this
inspiration and
energy and actually
using it. :)

i've decided that
i am going back to college.
no doubts about it.
i will go to the
local state u
and pursue a
bachelor's of fine arts.
the only suck-y
part about it
is that
it's going to take me
bloody forever,
since i'll continue
working full-time
at my relatively
sweet job
,
and therefore
feel like it will be
a stressful endeavor.
---
i <3, hardcore,
le tigre's version of
"i'm so excited."

---
and, now,
it is
lost.
it will be
begrudgingly
done.

oh, st. valentine

forget chocolates
and flowers, san
francisco knows how
to celebrate the saint
of valentine
[this has got to be
the strangest thing
i've ever heard of]:

oh, san francisco...
one day i will see
you
in all your
demented,
lovely
glory.

yet,
my valentine's
day was absolutely
glorious.

my parents
gave me and my beau
a gift certificate to our
favorite resto.

we ate there
and spent a
ton of money.
and went to our
fav. bar
to play pool
and darts

and then to this
awesome
new bar
that serves
belgium beer, only.

c'est l'obama

despite my best
judgment
and deepest
fears,
i've decided that i'm
going to vote for
obama.
[even though
i'd love to vote
for kucinich,
if that would
be effective;
alas.]

faith is
aligning
with fear.
& is working
out just
how he
planned.

je dors

i took too many
pills
this morning.

becoming de-
congested,
but foggy
all around.

coffee, is the anecdote
to this spiraling, spinning
escapade.
---

what could we do on
a trip to
new orleans?

but i'd also
very much
like to go to
bonnaroo.
M.I.A. shall
be
there!
&, of course,
volunteering
would be the key
to the festival.
sorry, but
there's
just no way
i'm spending over
$200
on a festival ticket.

along with the
brilliant M.I.A.,
others there should
be
Jack Johnson,
Kayne West (WHA?!),
Gogol Bordello,
Robert Plant,
Pearl Jam [who recently did a terrible rendition of rock around the clock],
Metallica
& Mastodon (for those who enjoy that sort of thing),
Death Cab for Cutie,
B.B. King
&
Willie Nelson.
it's a virtual
plethora
of surprises.
---

this guy is full
of surprises, too.
he has taken on some
interesting topics
to explore.

one that especially
frightened
me was the one
with the little girl
[one where she is 11
& the next
where she is 13]
dancing to
booty songs.
---

i'm aching
for a road
trip.

oh, no-no-no-no

just want to
clear this up
right now:
that lovely
painting that
i posted the other
day
was done
by none other
than
lucie gilot.
please
do not steal
her artwork! :)
---

ugh, gag, barf...

this has to be the most
humiliating thing
in support of barack
to come out
to date.

why pearl jam, why?
---

on some much
prettier notes,
i love these lovely
girls...

she's just a crazy
mish-mash
of her world.

while this one,
here,
is just what [one of the
things] i've been
looking for in my
quest of
watercolor pieces.
...

tomorrow...
is more work,
more of the
same.
getting up the
gumption,
getting up
the money.

pigeon-holed

when visiting europe for the first time,
i was in france,
in bretagne,
w/the gilots
exploring this lovely
fortified city
[named
fou...gere]
with
a lovely castle
when the femmes
in the fam
noticed a pigeon
that was stuck
in a barred hole within
the castle.
there were "awws"
all around
& we contemplated
how we could
get the little
guy out.

'see if there is another
way in?'
'get help from
a staff member?'
'try to pry
the guy
out?'

but, alas,
the pigeon
was stuck inside
a little prison
of bars and rock.

was this pigeon
pigeon-holed?
---

i've been addicted
to this website.
it's great.
really!
you get some smarts
and you do some good
will, too. :)
---

i <3 these kids :).
they seem like they
would be great fun
to hang out with.
---

back to the world of politics:
i think everyone has forgotten
that bush is still president.
but, newsflash!
he's still around,
AND he's still doing
his utmost @ doing
contradictory things...
oh, bushy-boy: you really are just a pawn.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
here's a little somethingfor you artistic appetites.
a little something,
to munch & chew on
from my dear friend
and my might-as-well-be sister-in-law.

l'anniversaire

02.05.08=4yrs. ensemble [bastien et moi],
cue the "le sigh"

obligations,
not-so-delicious
decisions.

coughing,
spreading to the chest
from the head.
but still in the
head.

a nice view.
clear vision.
wally bowen
strutting
the streets.

feverish head
wanting to keep the
new view.
but johnny knows
the path, and
it is not that
easy.

creating moving,
meaningful
and
original-ish
watercolor paintings
that aren't just
lovely
recreations of
landscapes.

how
how
how

lots.o.inspir[e].a[c]tion. [and say "inspiration" w/a french accent, please.]

des politiques

*yawn*

looking over CNN trying to
get a better idea of the democratic
candidates [since my choice, edwards,
decided to sit out of the rat race].

those available now are
clinton
&
obama.

i'm really split on both of theses characters.
and i do mean characters.
both playing each of their
proper roles for their
proper constituents.

clinton has all these
issues surrounding her.
with bill's controversy
and his legacy.
feminism has a bad
rep these days,
and hillary isn't
really helping it [herself].

and obama sounds
like a preacher -
somewhere between
MLK and JFK,
who only gives us
promises
and nice visions
of the future.

i did find this interesting video about
obama,
which just convinces me more
that this race is just a popularity contest -
and all the cool kids are supporting obama:

[on a side note: doesn't scarlett johansson look completely awkward in this video?]

all of this mumbo-jumbo just makes me more sick to my stomach.
all of theses politiques just convinces me that all of this is what it is:
politiques.
-----------------------------------------------------------

on a very clearly different note:
j'aime anna karina!
i can't get enough of her
and those
avant-garde
films!
